DownloadBrussels, 18 June 2024 – The Annual General Assembly of the Multilayer Modular Flooring Association (MMFA) has elected its Board of Directors for the 2024-2026 term. Jan Dossche (USFloors International) was re-elected for a second two-year term as President, while Sebastian Wendel (Classen) will return as a Director. The Board also welcomes Pieter Wilmots (Unilin) as a new Board member, after Carl Ruland (Novalis) decided not to run again. Michael Strack from PKF WMS GmbH & Co. KG. was appointed as auditor.
“Looking back at the successful two years at the MMFA, I am full of gratitude towards the Members for renewing their trust in me. I am excited to cooperate with the new Board and on behalf of the association, thank Carl Ruland for his contributions as the Convenor of the Market Development Working Group. In the upcoming term, I would like to keep working on ensuring our sector remains as dynamic as it has been since the launch of the association. I am also looking forward to another two years of collaboration with stakeholders and policymakers on issues that matter to us, like circular economy and sustainability.”, said the re-elected President of MMFA, Jan Dossche.
Sebastian Wendel, Vice-President, said: “Having been a member of the MMFA Board since 2014, I thank the Members for their consistent support over the last 10 years, and look to the future of our association with excitement and optimism. I remain committed to advancing the work of the Technical Committee and bringing value to members on initiatives such as the Environmental Product Declarations and Digital Product Passports.”
Newly elected Board member Pieter Wilmots stated “I am grateful for the opportunity to lead MMFA’s Market Development Committee as the Convenor in the upcoming term. I believe that by giving the MMF industry a voice and collaborating to provide the right solutions for the market, we can further strengthen the multi-layer category. I look forward to bringing my 11 years of experience in the international flooring industry to our work in MMFA.”
The Executive Board is elected by the MMFA General Assembly, the highest decision-making body of the association. All ordinary members are part of the annual Assembly, which is responsible for electing the Executive Board for a two-year mandate. Chairs of Committees are elected internally by their respective committees.
