MMFA welcomes Profol as a new Associate Member

Brussels, 29 September 2020 – MMFA, the Multilayer Modular Flooring Association, is pleased to announce that Profol has recently joined the association as a new Associate Member.

With their expertise in developing durable specialty films for flooring products, Profol is a perfect fit for the association and adds great value to our existing membership base,” said Matthias Windmöller (Windmöller), president of the MMFA.

Profol produced its first cast films in 1980 and has since then become one of the world’s leading manufacturers of polyolefin cast films and sheets for a variety of application areas such as stationary, furniture, packaging, construction and flooring. Profol is committed to the principles of environment protection and the sustainable use of resources by incorporating energy recycling and the use of recyclable materials in their manufacturing processes. While the company’s headquarters are located in Germany, Profol has production plants across Europe, the Americas and Asia. The company employs 500 people worldwide and possesses over 120,000 metric tons of capacity for plastic film and sheet products each year.

With this new addition, MMFA now counts 25 ordinary members (producers of MMF flooring or their European representations), 30 associate members (supplier companies) and three supporting members (scientific institutes).

About MMFA: The Multilayer Modular Flooring Association is an organisation representing the leading producers of flooring in Europe and their suppliers. The association was established in October 2012 in Munich, Germany, by seven European flooring producers. The management of MMFA has moved to Brussels since November 2019.
