MMFA members renew their trust toward the Executive Board

Brussels, 6 July 2020 – During their first ever virtual Annual General Assembly, the members of MMFA, the Multilayer Modular Flooring Association, re-elected Matthias Windmöller (Windmöller), Carl Ruland (Novalis) and Sebastian Wendel (Classen) to head the Executive Board for another two- year term. Dr. Peter M. Hamberger from Hamberger Industriewerke GmbH was reappointed as auditor.

“I would like to thank all the members of MMFA for their trust and I look forward to having the opportunity to oversee some projects we initiated, such as the digital transformation of the association to ensure it is well equipped to serve members efficiently as well as the cooperation with EuFCA on common topics such as Circular Economy and data collection. I am also keen to continuing the expansion of the organisation”, stated Matthias Windmöller, President of MMFA.

“I thank the voting members for their confidence in the past and for this new term. The Board and I, personally, will continue to focus on the membership growth to convince other manufacturers of multilayer floorings to join our association. In addition, we will work on our sales figures process to provide our members with robust and reliable market data”, said Carl Ruland.

Sebastian Wendel, Vice-president expressed his gratitude “to all the members of the association for the renewal of their trust. The Executive Board is committed to continuing leading technical initiatives on standardisation, test criteria and measurements with the aim of developing products with the highest quality standards and performance.”

The Executive Board is elected by the MMFA General Assembly, the highest decision-making body of the association. All ordinary members are part of the Assembly which takes place once a year and is responsible for electing the Executive Board and the chairmen of the MMFA working groups for a two-year mandate.

About MMFA: The Multilayer Modular Flooring Association is an organisation representing the leading producers of flooring in Europe and their suppliers. The association was established in October 2012 in Munich, Germany, by seven European flooring producers. The management of MMFA has moved to Brussels since November 2019.
